I work for a radio station and we just recieved the new press packets for the year of a million dreams continuation into 08...If anyone is interested it includes

1. VIP treatment for the a day on Castaway Cay
2.Disneyland Dream Suite (refurb of Walt's Apartment in New Orleans Square).
3. "its a small world" Where you get to lead the parade in Paris, Florida, California, and Hong Kong

I was wondering how they were going to switch the theme from giving away prizes every day to not giving anything away at all. Did you hear if it was going to continue the entire year of 2008?

You cant get on the press pack mailing list. Disney calls as an anonymous "business statistics listing" and ask for your info. You have to be a radio/tv/print organization. This also can with a DVD i have yet to watch...Ill let you know whats on it

On my last trip we were on Main Street in the bakery and one of the ladies tapped my niece on the shoulder and asked her if she would like to be the chef of the day. She was only 7 but they made a big deal over her and she got a chef's hat and apron and made a chocolate covered Mickey head rice krispie treat. They announced her name to the whole store and gave her a certificate. My sister and I cried a little. It was such a little thing but it made my niece's first trip pretty special.
That same day I went in to the town hall to pick up our MNSSHP and talked to the cast member who was making my tickets for me. He decided he was going to make me an Honorary Citizen of Walt Disney World. He gave me a pin and then I got my picture taken with the Mayor and got a gold keychain that says Magic Kingdom on it. My family thought I was a bit nutso when I came skipping down Main Street toward them with my spiffy new pin on.

I would also love, love, love breakfast on Main Street with the rest of my Disney family. But what would I wear?

I think the DVC has got to be the best prize up there. Not that a stay in the castle wouldn't be great, but DVC is the prize that would keep on giving!!

BTW forgot if I put it on here, but we were in the first group to ride HM one morning (before the refurb) and they gave about 25-30 people Dream FP. We didn't use half of them, but it's a cool souveneir

That's what I'm talking about! Don't get me wrong.... I wouldn't turn down a stay in Cindy's suite... but I'd rather win the DVC becuase then I'd be set for the rest of my life!

Lifetime DVC has gotta be the best prize! (But beware, every time someone wins a lifetime anything,they always die in 'a tragic accident' a few weeks later)
