If you know anything about Livingston Parish its the LAST place that cannot handle anymore traffic at all. I 12 backs up every weekday 15 to 18 miles during rush hour from I10 meets I12 to pass exit 15.
I'm from New Orleans and I'm not trying to offend anyone with this but I can't see much appeal with "Swamp Land!!!" or similar theming. . . although a new park would be pretty great!
Dropping out and moving to Disney World because characters only have to be sixteen.
Mustard! Now let's not be silly!
you have to remember that this is disney we are talking about. when he bought the florida property they all said the same things. that he was crazy!! on the other hand that was a long time ago and things have changed and they tried to buy here before and it didnt work out . needless to say we will all keep an eye on it.
Livingston Parish is North Shore property and is North of Lake Ponchartrain. It is NOT swamp land.
I wasn't saying it was swamp land. . . I was saying that a park with a section called "Swamp Land" wouldn't fare too well

I've hard it's off of walker south....a waterpark, movie studio and semi-pro baseball complex...anyone else heard that?
I have a friend who works in the permit office for Livingston Parish, and she told me that Disney has applied for permits off of Hood Road in Satsuma.
I think if Disney has bought property in Louisiana it is probably for film making as Louisiana has become Hollywood-South. Those who spoke of the politicians ruining it, you are probably right. My in-laws live there and it is the most politically corrupt state in the nation. Good luck with the Disney interest, if it is true. I hope they don't ruin it.
