If there is (probably a big if), it will probably only be something kind of like Epcot's, but not on that scale. I can't believe it was 10 years ago.
I know this year is an extention of the Year of a Million Dreams but seeing how it's ten years after Animal Kingdom opened, does anyone know if there's going to be some sort of celebration?

I can confirm that Animal Kingdom will be celebrating its 10th anniversary in a similar fashion as of that which was seen on October 1st, 2007 for Epcot's 25th. We are planning our event, A Wild Decade (at WDWCelebrations.com) in cooperation with Animal Kingdom management, much like we did with Celebration 25, so expect for us to keep everyone updated on that front as we get more information. Plus, we should be announcing our involvement with Lou and Disneyworldtrivia.com soon!
I look forward to hearing more!

I don't like how lately Disney's been downsizing these anniversaries. . . Whatever happened to turning the park weenie into a giant cake?!

Haha. . . It was a terrible idea but atleast people knew it was the Magic Kingdom's anniversary!

I myself was never a fan of the cake but I do have to say that it was a pretty creative idea (even though I had to stare at a pink castle for the longest time). I doubt the company will ever resurrect that idea, but then again, we have seen some addons to the park icons over the past 10 years (the Epcot Wand is the best example)...
I can't believe AK is 10 - I still think of it as "the new park"...it still seems so unfinished
