Out in Florida, Disney finally announced plans for a fifth theme park within Walt Disney World. It won't open for several more years, but the company finally dusted off the plans for the villains-themed amusement park that has been part of cyberspace chatter for ages.

How creative can disney make this theme park, What are your thoughts and maybe ideas on this rumored Villains-themed park to be added ?
OK, I realize it's the Motley Fool and not Jim Hill but what is his source? Is this for real? Or is this just a big fat rumor. And while I like the idea of a new park there's no way it could be completed by 2010 unless it's already being built. This actually kind of makes me sad because I think it spells doom for Beastly Kingdom if they spend time focusing on another park.

- i just thought i'd get others input on it . I mean its a good idea and all but i would think it would take longer than 2 years to build

Folks, read the actual article. This guy is not reporting that Disney has announced anything. He's conjecturing. The pretense of his article is that he's taken a field trip to the year 2010, where the expansion of DCA has been completed, and when Disney has announced a fifth park. That is, this guy is guessing that in 2010, Disney will announce a fifth park. He is not saying they've announced it now, in 2008, to be complete by 2010.
I don't think I'll ever truly believe this rumor until the day Disney makes an official announcement, ooh and when that day does come pleaseeeeeee no villians park!

As my philosophy on the subject I was thinking a few day ago... The Castle. The Villian Castle. What if they made it out of tinted glass, with red plasma inside? I don't know if that's possiblr, but how cool would that be???!!!! FYI, plasma is that stuff that connects to your fingers in those balls.
Hmmm, something to think about, but I don't see Mickey giving the villains free reign over their own "town."

I hate to be redundant but Disney really needs to focus on what they have right now. . . Also, where did this rumor originate from? (because it's been floating around for years it seems)
I don't really like the villians I dea either (assuming it does come to pass)....especially if it is going to be mainly a thrill park. I hate thrill parks......I have a heart condition, I can't ride a lot of thrill rides. That's one of the reasons I like Disney. They have something for everyone. Thrill rides, dark rides, kiddie rides, relaxing rides....I don't go to Universal and Bush Gardens and such mainly because they are predominantly thrill parks. Its been a while, but I remember gonig on field trips with my school to Bush Gardens and attending every single ice skating show they had scheduled that day. Not because I'm a nut about ice skating, but because that was the only ride/attraction they had open that I could do. I don't want Disney to turn into something like that.
I think its a rumor though. He didn't cite any sources and some of the stuff sounds a little far fetched.
I really don't like the Villian's Park either, but if they were to make another park I don't see whast it could be.
