One has to believe that Disney knows how Disney Freaks like us feel about this. I know money is not a problem for Disney Co. but this seems to be a huge waste of money and it seems to be very "anti-Disney" like. I didn't know about this until I recently came upon this thread. How long has this construction been halted?
They stopped construction on the site a little bit after 9/11 happened. They cited an "unsure economic future".
Also if anyone is interested, they have some good info on the resort at wikipedia.com, all you have to do is type in Pop Century Resort on the home page. According to them, some construction companies have been bidding on the project. It is a shaky reference site, so I wouldnt take their word for set in stone.

Much like the Wiki says, I was there back in July, and our room was on the top floor, and faced the Legendary years. We did hear some mild hammering and sawing at various time, but never saw anyone.
My brother and I were a bit adventurous, and actually DID go over to it to poke around. Its kinda depressing how you can walk right into a room, and straight thru over to the other side. It is very post apocalyptic over there.
Unfortunately Wiki, being a user written site, carries about as much weight as if a bus driver or Jim Hill said it. LOL!
