The recent Disney Insider had a write up from Joe Rohde, the Imagineer behind EE. It should be a thrilling ride. I was at AK 12 days ago and it looks awesome. The storyline is exciting. Testing of the ride is on-going. I'm eager to make my first expedition.

EE definately looks good!! I have to say though I think I will admire it from a distance. I am a chicken when it comes to rollercoasters! I am trying to talk myself into riding Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in June!! We will have to see!!

A few things I heard from a little birdie:
    Top speed's a little above 50mph at 52mph
The mountain is 184 feet tall
Minimum height to ride is actually 44 inches
Maximum number of trains in operation at a time: 5
The show is made up of 10 scenes...
And all in all, this is going to be one awesome experience.

Has anyone (besides me) noticed how LONG those trains are! They are huge and they stretch so much! Must be a Vekoma thing Lol!

The ride manufacturer. They are the ones who made RnRC and Boomerang and all the corkscrew coaster about. They are known for their wheels riding inside the track for a jerky movement, but EE is the first where they are putting their wheels on the outside of the track for much easier movement.

My husband got to ride EE yesterday. He gave it a 9 out of 10! It's a keeper. I can't wait for my turn. And yes, I'm green with envy.

How was he able to ride it? We are headed there in less than a month and my buddy has an insider there that he thinks can get us in. Is that how your husband did it?
