Basically, the soft opening is part of the "let word of mouth" sell the ride. Soft openings allow special groups a chance to try out a ride before it's open to the general public and fine tune the ride. Everest is running now, but it may not be running every day all day. You shouldn't have a problem getting to ride Everest, but be prepared to have to come back to AK because the day you are there it happens to be down. Good luck and have a great time.
