Mickey visiting Disney stores

This is only a rumor and I can't confirm it:

Mickey Mouse will be visiting all of the remaining U.S. Disney Stores this summer as part of an effort to keep guests shopping with them. I do not know the schedule for the visits but you may ask at your local Disney Store if they know when his arrival may be.

Yes they did. You should also see park merchandise sometime in the distant future.

Hmmm... I wonder (if this is true) if the Disney Store will post the schedule online.

Interesting. Admittedly, I haven't done much shopping at The Disney Store since it was sold...not enough adult merchandise. Now that Disney re-bought it, I wonder if they'll put more stuff for adults on the shelves (so to speak).

great park merch. comes and my disney store just closed!!! but i do remember when mine opened that mickey and minnie were there so it could be possible that they are due to return

My thoughts exaclty, park merchandise coming and my stores have closed too. I have only a poorly stocked/badly kept Disney Outlet Store 50 miles away. I drove down there about a month ago and it was a pitiful mess, what a waste of gasoline/money.

I happened to mention this rumor at my local Disney Store yesterday. They hadn't heard anything about it.

there is a Disney Store in NYC that is actually owned and operated by WDW. They have all the park merchandise there and they have character appearances there througout the day. When I went there in May we saw Alice and the White Rabbit, which was great because when we went in October my little one was dresses as Alice for the MNSSHP but we didn't get to see Alice.
They even had the chocolate covered peanuts there...yummy!
