I have heard about this...right now it is just a rumor and nothing is confirmed yet. I think it's a neat concept but I don't ride roller coaster but if I did I would ride this one.
I have heard on the show about the rumored monsters roller coaster. I think it will be like the scene in the movie where Mike, Sulley, and Boo are riding the door through the big door storage room. Any thoughts on this?

I always thought this would be a good idea - everytime I watch the film. Am not very brave on roller coasters though, so wouldn't be one for me!
I LOVE coasters!!!!
I hope this is true!

this rumor has been around for awhile. Until I see actual blueprints or a formal announcement, it's just a rumor... I'm sure they might add another coaster eventually, but who knows what or where it will be!

i hope they do!! It would be so cool!! They could start off with Mike and Sully in a preshow telling about Randall and Waternoose. Then the rollercoaster part could kinda be like rock n rollercoaster. Instead of going through a doughnut, u could go through different doors that lead to hawaii, the himalays, and so on. There could be dark parts and then parts in the light. A Monsters Inc. coaster could definetly be a great e-ticket ride.

Whenever I first saw Monsters, Inc. in the theaters, I immediately had the thought of "that door vault scene would be a perfect ride". If this does happen, it's sure to be a great ride.![]()

Oh, I love the movie. Coaster scare the bejeebers out of me, but I would go on a Monster's, Inc. One of the best.

I can say that this attraction is going to happen. I took one of those behind the scenes tours at Magic Kingdom, late July. The tour guide, who I will keep nameless, said something along the lines of "I cannot confirm or deny the rumor that there will be a Monster's Inc roller coaster opening in 2011. And that you might want to ride the Backlot Tour now, because it will not be there much longer to create room." One must note, while saying the aforementioned statement, she continuously nodded her head up and down!
Last time I rode STAR TOURS, I thought to myself, "If a droid is a pain in the......behind, does that make it a hemdroid?"

I can just about confirm this rumor. During my trip in late July, I took one of those behind the scenes tours at the Magic Kingdom. The tour guide, who I will keep nameless, was intentionally letting slip a few secrets, etc. For one of them she said, "I cannot confirm or deny the rumor that there will be a new Monster's Inc. roller coaster in 2011 at the Hollywood Studios. I do know that you probably would want to ride the Backlot Tour soon, because it will be removed for this project, but, sorry, I did not get that e-mail." Of course, I must add, that while saying the above statement, she continuously nodded her head up and down!"
Sounds like a confirmation to me.

Ahhhhhh i knew it!!! *points to self* phycic right here.....first saw the movie i said "that would be sooooooo awsome if they made a coaster on that" and guess what? they might! HA! lol im smrt
I think it's a forgone conclusion that this attraction (among others) will be coming with the design of PIXAR Place. I think what we'll see is something akin to a "Land" in which there are multiple PIXAR attractions with TSMM and a Monsters Inc coaster being at the forefront.
Wow this rumor really excites the **** out of me! O.o
