| The Rock is the Man of Tomorrow(land) Has anyone else heard anything about the Rock (Dwayne Johnson) starring in a movie about "an epic-sized action adventure set in space" based on Tomorrowland? Tomorrowland: The Rock Is The Man Of Tomorrow(land) The article is talking about this being a way for Disney to make Tomorrowland a franchise like Pirates of the Carribbean.

| The Rock in Tomorrowland Dwayne Johnson Goes To Space With Disney Posted by Cybergosh on 09/18 at 01:21 AM Variety reports that Disney is developing a space-themed adventure starring Dwayne Johnson which may be based on the Tomorrowland section of the Magic Kingdom. The studio has set scribes Jon Lucas and Scott Moore to draft an epic-sized action adventure set in space. The film is being designed as a vehicle for Johnson, who starred for the studio in family hit “The Game Plan” and most recently completed “Race to Witch Mountain.” Disney denies the film has been titled “Tomorrowland” or is dedicated to the park’s section, a futuristic area of the Magic Kingdom that includes such attractions as Space Mountain. The studio called the nascent project an original script. The film would be produced by Mayhem Pictures partners Mark Ciardi and Gordon Gray, who produced “The Game Plan.” The scribes most recently wrote the upcoming “The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past” from New Line, as well as comedy “The Hangover,” which Todd Phillips will direct for Warner Bros.

| The Rock is so entertaining. He would be a good fit since he does predominantly clean movies anyway. Thanks for the scoop.

| Yeah, I think the Rock in a Disney movie will be good. He was on an episode of Cory in the House and did a good job. They just better not try to take over Tomorrowland with the Rock everywhere.

| The Game Plan and the upcoming Race to Witch Mountain are Disney movies, so he isn't a stranger to the company.
