Energy & Backlot Tour

One thing that I thought was disappointing was how many times the cast member warned the guests that the show was 37 minutes long after the intro movie. The cast member reminded us of that fact four times before boarding. I know that they should let people know that in case they have children that can't sit through the presentation, but it really felt as if he was apologizing for the attraction.

Well heck, SOMEONE owes us an apology for that ride. How they could build a ride that's over a half hour long is beyond me. I understand there's not much to do at that end of the park, but closing down the other rides that were way too long (Horizons, for example) really helped keep my morale up. If I'm in line for fifteen minutes, I start getting antsy. I don't want my ride to be double my time in line at that point, especially when most of it just a movie.

I remember those houses!!! They were amazing!!! Were they the orginial ones? I can't seem to find any videos of the orginial Backlot Tour... anybody know of any on YouTube?

I had my kids watch the You tube video of the "old" Backlot Tour and they loved it! They all think it would be really cool to bring that back.
They have mixed feelings about removing the backlot tour. My two youngest (15&12) don't seem to mind (except for the canyon part) but my oldest (18) is afraid the "Hollywood" studios will becaome "Pixar" Studios and that does not make her a happy camper!

Personally - I really think that area needs to be plus-ed up alot. It's actually...dare I say it... a little boring

I still remember when the Osbourne Lights lined up Residential Street. Every house looked like it was Clark Griswold's....

The bike in front of the adventures in wonderland facade was awesome...

You would think with the 30 some odd square miles that the WDW resort encompasses, they wouldn't have to erase something extremely used like Res. Street to make Lights!Motors!Action!...
