    Thumbs up Apple moving into the Virgin Megastore space in DTD?

    Anyone else heard the rumor that an Apple store may be moving into the Virgin Megastore space in Downtown Disney?

    Is that perfect or what?

    I have heard this rumor but haven't seen anything official. Given the typical size of Apple Stores it seems like a mighty big space for them to occupy...

    I've heard rumors about an Apple Store coming to DTD, but not specifically where. I have also heard they may turn the Virgin Megastore into an ESPN Zone, but that's not official either.

    I guess the idea would be to make it a flagship store. It would be the biggest Apple store in the world.

    theres not many apple products to put in that big of a store though. they discontinue all their old products so their stores offer only a few basic products. maybe they'll make a smaller store and then add other retail stores too. like a mini mall deal

    nah... I'd like to see an apple store, but not in that store's place... Just imagine... All the downloadable disney movies you can think of, and all kinds of disney accessories for your ipods!! haha... Hmm.... I'd like to see some kind of store that could tie in with disney... but not another fashion store kind of thing.... maybe a disney collectors store, or even a special D23 club/store hehe...

    An Apple store will be cool at DTD but not in the Virgin Store that is a little big. I really want to know what is going to go in there.

    Maybe they could use part of the store like your traditional Apple Store, and some of the other space could be an Apple Internet Cafe.

    An Apple store would certainly be cool, but is it really worth it to have one? Besides using the free internet, it's kind of a waste imo. , Think about it, how many people are actually going to buy an iMac while they're on vacation? I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure there's an Apple store pretty close in the Orlando area, so I dont think people living in Orlando would choose to get mobbed by the crowds when they can go to an identical store pretty close by. Just my opinion...

    Last time I was at DTD, I saw a lot of clearance signs. I think this rumor could be true!! I hope so!!! It is a big space, but you could do so much!!!

    Apple + Disney? How exciting!
    While I do think the Virgin Megastore space might be a bit excessive I think it certainly wouldn't be a bad thing to have a larger store space. These small stores have the same space shared by classes on how to use Macs, a repair center to take nonfunctioning Apple products and, of course, the store space crammed packed with people. A little etxra room never hurt.
