| Star Tours Announcement at D23 Expo? Hey, Over at TheForce.Net - Your Daily Dose of Star Wars they have broken the story that the 501st Legion will be making an appearance on Saturday of the D23 Expo. Hmmmm... know why would Disney have the 50st show up? Star Wars Weekends 2010 Announcement? Or Star Tours 2.0 Formal Announcement? Can't wait to hear the answers.  |

| Re: Star Tours Announcement at D23 Expo? Star Tours 2.0 announcement makes sense. But a "Star Wars" day is a staple of these sort of conventions, SDCC has it on Friday every year, other cons do it. Also maybe consider the possibility of a Star Wars Weekend(s) at DLR announcement. |

| Re: Star Tours Announcement at D23 Expo? Other random possibilities that pop in my head... Disney is going to distribute the live action series that is coming up... Star Wars Weekend at Disneyland in 2010... What initiated this is a posting on the D23 site itself, that said: "We were contacted by the Galactic Empire and have been advised that Imperial dignitaries will be attending Disney's D23 Expo," said Steven Clark, head of D23. "As a result, a legion of Storm Troopers from the 501st Battalion will be patrolling the Anaheim Convention Center on Saturday, September 12." The possibilities are endless - but ST2 is a likely candidate...

| Re: Star Tours Announcement at D23 Expo? The Live Action Series is way too far off to be the topic. LucasFilm has not even announced its existence yet. Plus they are very likely to follow the route they took wih the Clone Wars and be near completion of Season One's production before they go looking for distribution. |
