If I'm not mistaken I heard that Toyota might be picking up the contract when it expires. Not sure about that though.

Yea, I heard that as well. Still I don't think it will be Toyota I guess time will tell. If no one puts up the cash, maybe cars attraction? I guess that is a wild idea.

I doubt that we will have a cars land anytime soon because if we do get it in the World why on earth would anyone travel to Anaheim to visit BSC.
I thought I heard Lou say NASCAR might take it over. I'm not sure if he said it or not. But I heard that somewhere

A NASCAR overlay would be pretty cool for Test Track, but would be hard to keep up with drivers switching teams and sponsors as often as they do.

I think NASCAR would be a good company to take over GE. I could see it being like a NASCAR garage for the queue, and then testing of the cars for the actual ride.

Yea, sounds good. How deep is their pockets? And they willing to pay? I would like to see that.

That seems like it would mean a pretty solid overhaul of the ride, I wouldn't mind seeing a change I dont think.
Sure hope somebody keeps it open or at least modifies it and takes it over.
I don't mind TT getting a refresher, but the problem is that NASCAR does not have a good reputation outside of it's fan base in American. The difference between the size of Formula 1 fan base and the NASCAR fan base is roughly comparable to football v. soccer worldwide. In other words, it's almost a joke.
Also, in the Northeast and other parts of the country, and I'm sorry to say this but it's true, NASCAR is considered a "redneck" sport. I'm not saying it is but I live near NY and many people look down on it.
While people might not like GM as a car maker any more at least the idea and appeal is universal. All car companies do something like this. A NASCAR experience also doesn't fit with the Future World theme. What will it be, the future of auto racing? It's not universal enough.
