Snow White Secret Message?

A friend told me that the seven dwarfs from Snow White each have names that represent the seven stages of c------addiction. there are some smaller kids here so im not going to say the word.

Does anyone know if this is true?

I'm sorry if it sounds a bit strange and weird but I just want to know.

Actually unless someone has read something that I haven't, this myth has as much truth as Walt Disney being frozen or Cinderella Castle being built on a lift so they can lower it in case of hurricanes. The seven name selected were actual pick out a list fifty or so names and personalities considered based on different gags for the characters. Other names on the list included Awful, Biggy, Blabby, Dirty, Gabby, Gaspy, Gloomy, Hoppy, Hotsy, Jaunty, Jumpy, Nifty, and Shifty. Believe or not Happy was a last minute replacement for Jumpy.

Interesting tidbit. Maybe it will be discussed on the extra features for the new blu-ray release, which you can get by the way for 14.99 at amazon with the code "snowhite".

I'm thinking this is false, and Citizen is right, I have read the list of names that were not used for the dwarves as well.

Ummm, no. Think about it, how could Doc, Sleepy and Bashful possibly fit into that scenario? Those are three things never associated with that. Not to mention back then addiction and cause/affect associated with such things were not understood very well. Now fill your head with pure thoughts by singing "It's a Small World" 20 times.
