You're saying the imagineers couldn't come up with a believable storyline to utilize a 40's or 50's theme? I say they could. 40's big band songs with Buddy Rich or Gene Krupa on the drums could fit well with the loops of the Rn'RC.

Yeah, if (God forbid) anything does happen where Aerosmith decides to not reknew the contract with Disney, Disney will make up a great story line to fit the ride. Of course, it'll be like one of those long refurbishments like we've just experienced (and still are for a short amount of time) with Space Mountain, because they would probably change the ride music, line music, some scenery on and off the ride, and obvioulsy, the pre show.
I think if this was to happen, a 50's themed type would be great to fit the loops and twists and turns. I also think Elvis Presley make a great addition to the ride. Maybe even a current mix up of classic (and today's) rock bands: Creedence Clearwater Revival, Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, The Police, U2, KISS...I could think of so many.

Here's an idea:
I'm sure most have you have heared of the new games "guitar hero" and how those games have been popular. Well, maybe the ride could be something like that
I doubt it too, but I wish they would.
I haven't heard this, though I have never been a fan of theming something to a particular person or live action movie. Same way I wouldn't be caught dead watching the 20-year-old Honey I Shrunk the Audience (do any of our kids have a clue what that movie was or who Rick Moranis is?)
There wasn't any reason to identify the coaster with Aerosmith back then, and even less reason now that their name carries far less weight, musically, today. Drop the branding, keep it simply, Rock n' Roller coaster, and mix up the music. That might even help the experience stay fresh each time you ride. Same way Disney fans won't remember Hanah Montana after Selena Gomez moves in, two years from now we'll all be scratching our heads at who the Jonas Brothers were. Because really, does your eight year old know or care who Steven Tyler is? And in 2010, do you????
As I've posted before; I never liked the Aerosmith tie-in. Despite the fact I own some of their music their earlier drug use should have been reason enough to exclude them from the Disney branding FWIW, I now think they're a joke recording lousy ballads for dopey movies I never saw. Stephen Tyler looks ridiculous (as does Mick Jagger) acting like he's still in his 20's.

Ok, I havn't read all of this but here is my veiw on it.
I LOVE JB for their music, it's really good and fun listening. I would hate RNRC with them though! Rockin' Roller Coster staring the Jonas Brothers? Doesn't have the same ring to it! NEVER!!!!!!!

I find it ironic that in Splash Mountian they sing "What comes up is sure to come down"
Steven Tyler is not quitting the band just taking a hiatus, and according to my local radio station being replaced with Lenny Kravitz. I for one am extraordinarily upset by this but I just hope that Rockin' Roller Coaster stays with the current theme. They are the greatest American rock band of all time for Pete's sake.
Disney World is not just a place, but an experience.
Back in the world for the 2013 Marathon Weekend!
