Actually, it's been available for a few years now. It's called the Premier Passport, and acts as a Premium Annual Pass at WDW and an Annual Pass at DL, with whatever benefits they get at each location. The price just jumped way up to over $1000 after tax, so it is an expensive option.
I know a lot of website owners and other Disney media have gone the premier route as they travel between the parks and am guessing for the big ones it is a business expense. I believe it was Deb at All Ears last year that tried to enter from the WS entrance at Epcot and they could not renew her Premier pass at that location so a CM escorted her all the way up front and turned her over to another CM for renewal.
    Some people are like Slinkies.

They aren't really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.

Yeah, because the PP is on a printed card, which the ticket booths don't have, you can only get it at the front Guest Relations at each park and at DTD. Although the International Gateway does have one booth that acts as Guest Relations as well, they don't have the card printer.

I wonder what the profit break point would be? I admit I'd buy a lifetime pass for 10K, don't think I'd go much higher though

I've been searching for a scanned copy of a pass, but have yet to find one.

Yep. If you purchase an AP at any Vacation Planning booth and wanted to convert to a hard AP (prior to RFID)
you had to take your AP over to Guest Relations and the CMs there exchanged your ticket for a hard card AP
