I would think so. Disneyland just recently got new monorails.
It's possible. When they added the new Teal monorail after retiring the two from the crash, they used the existing cars with replacement engines. Coincidentally, check out the pictures online of the duping grounds for old Disney monorails, if you can find them. Pretty neat!
Cool, I'll go try to look those up! You gave me something to do with the rest of my night, insted of studing for finals .
You and me both. Can't wait for this term to end already.
Me too! I have to study for French, Bio, and Civics still today. I have French tomarrow(it'll be easy!), English and Bio on Thursday, which won't be that bad, and then Civics and Geometry on Friday, then I'm out! :yahoo:
I can only start enjoying the holidays once my exams are over. Happens every year. This year, I have such a big paper and test that I didn't want to risk my vacation getting in the way, so I went to WDW a week earlier than usual.
The Teal monorail was added not to long ago and a new monorail will be added next year to bring the count back up to twelve.
I love the Disneyland monorail. I wish I would have taken the time to ride it.
Ahhh one of the few perks of being trimesters much less stress arounf the holidays. They do need new monorail cars though my girlfriend and rode in one that smelled pretty bad in late November.
Haha, took my French Final today, did pretty well I think! Now we cram for thrus/fri!
I'm sure they are always thinking ahead to having to replace them, but from what I know at this point there is not a schedule in place.
Monorail Teal was constructed from the A and B ends of Purple and Pink. I believe the other one will be constructed from the existing Mark VI design plans. The current Mark VIs have lasted longer operationally than the original Mark IVs, but I believe the current control systems are relatively new.
I don't know, I think I like the WDW style monorails better than the Disneyland variety. If they do replace the monorails, I'd like to see them stick with the current design as much as possible.
