WDW Cinderella Castle Refurb

Has anyone heard the rumor that they are going to refurb the front side of the WDW Cinderella Castle starting Jan 12, 2010? We are going the end of the Jan. Does anyone know what it will look like while they do it? Do they board it off and/or setup a bunch of scaffolding in front of it? Or does this "magical" happen only at night, with no signs during the day?

My guess is that is when they will be taking down the Castle lights from the Holidays. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

They are doing a lot of work on the "bricks" this season.

The crane was up and around the castle while I was there on the 12th, 14th and 16th, the were taking off the lights and someone was scrubbing (At least I think he was) but that seems to be about it. Unfortunately there are plenty of my castle pictures with a big old Crane in them. Also the moat around the castle has been drained and they are in the process of scrubbing the bottom and collecting all that coin. It was neat to see.

I'm pretty sure I saw in a ask Dave Smith article that they donate the money to charities, I'm pretty sure he was talking about "it's a small world" and how that goes to UNICEF. I would like to think that the coins from other parts of the "World" go to charities. Hey maybe they will donate to the Haiti releif fund.

That's really nice that they don't just take the money for themselves. And I'm sure Disney will eventually do something to help the Haitians. They've got lots of money to spare, and they seem to be pretty generous with things like that.

If you get a chance, after Wishes, sit over by Sleepy Hollow (might as well have a funnel cake) and if you pay attention to the castle, you can see people coming out to check on things. It was really interesting. I have no idea what that guy was doing but cool to see someone out there.
