Southwest to provide check-in to all the WDW Resorts

Just got off the phone with GS to book my May & August trips and was pleasantly informed that Southwest will provide resort check-in to all the WDW resorts. There hasn't been an official annnouncement as yet so it's still a rumor. Southwest was testing first Pop and then some mods prior to this. What a time saver. TU Southwest!

I also live on Long Island and only use Southwest to travel to Disney. Does anyone know which resorts this applies to?

Don't quote me but Southwest is running some promo vacation package and Disney's Caribbean Resort is mentioned.

Re: Southwest to provide check-in to all the WDW Resorts

Thank you so much for the quick reply. We are AP holders, so those packages don't really apply unless we book the package and buy tix for just one day, etc. Can't wait to see if Southwest actually gets the resort checkin.

Re: Southwest to provide check-in to all the WDW Resorts

Guest Services said it would be all WDW resorts. When I pressed him he said he had read the memo last week and they are just waiting to make it official.

Prior to this most recent info was that it would only be:
The 3 All Star Resorts, Yacht Club & Beach Club

Waiting to hear back from Southwest. Hopefully there will be resort check-in for VWL in August. Meanwhile I went ahead and booked JetBlue for my May trip. The price & times were right and I know they do resort check-in.

Re: Southwest to provide check-in to all the WDW Resorts

I have two upcomng trips booked, both will be with southwest. One at Caribbean Beach and one at Old Key West. I really hope it's ready to go by then. I've only done the resort check in once, and it's because I always fly Southwest. The time I did it, I stayed @ the Polynesian and flew Jet Blue. It was awesome. Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it.

Re: Southwest to provide check-in to all the WDW Resorts

If this ends up being true, it will be wonderful! I always fly Southwest to Disney World because it's the only airline that has a direct flight from New Orleans. And I have two tentative upcoming trips, so this is very exciting news! It will make my life a whole lot easier.
