Sadly, now that it has seemingly become the official park icon replacing the Earful Tower, I don't see it going away any time soon. Especially not with merchandise inside.

Disney needs something to keep Disney Records tied to their Films division. Camp Rock certainly wasn't it.

Re: The Great Movie Ride Rehab???

I have just read through this post and I think that there are a lot of great ideas. I only would disagree as to the addition of the movie psycho we got to remember that is a universal movie and in California they have it or had it on their back lot tour.

I think the time has come for an update. Although we might all disagree as to what makes a movie a classic, I think we all agree towards movies that effect or influence our time that we live in. Honestly how many of us have seen a water ballet in a recent movie. We all are free to feel that Bogart is definitely a classic movie actor but we all don't agree that treasure of the Sierra Madre talked to all of us.

I do not really agree to the addition of any horror flick and Alien for me is a stretch. Not everyone will see a horror movie but we almost all have seen Wizard of Oz and raiders of the lost ark.
I don't think this is about classic movies as it is about great movies. Forest Gump is a great movie and even though I am no particular fan of Leonardo Decaprio Titanic is a great movie. The age of computer generation is upon us so let's update it.

When I went to Disney for the first time there was a Magic I felt. I could do anything or be anything. No feeling would ever top this......

    Then I took my daughter.

Re: The Great Movie Ride Rehab???

the only worry here is... how much will it cost... out of all of the films that have been mentioned here... most of them are not owned by Disney and therefore Disney would have to pay to use them in this attraction.... i would bet that the major reason this attraction has never been updated is the because of the cost of adding new films... i dont think 20th Century Fox or even MGM would just give Disney the rights to use their characters in an attraction for free... everyones got a price... and it might be ridiculously high...1
