New Soarin' Movie???

nah... all they need to do is show extremely famous landmarks of the US... that would be good...

Highlights that could be seen from the air... Statue of Liberty, St. Louis Arch, Mt. Rushmore and the like.

Which the average guest wouldn't know, either. To most people, it's a generic hang gliding ride. Soarin' over Florida wouldn't be as much fun, with the flat topography of the land. You'd hit a beach or two, get shot at by some rednecks over Deltona, see the tops of way too many trees over the Everglades, and then wind up at the Magic Kingdom. Ride done in forty seconds.

...Don't forget Soarin' through a hurricane, a tornado, and a torrential rain storm complete with thunder & lightning, and instead of dodging one golf ball, dodging golf ball-sized hail... Then spinning off to disappear into the Bermuda Triangle, then reappearing again just in time to dodge a Space Shuttle launch, then Soarin' over Fantasmic, Illuminations and then on to be blown up by Wishes...!

Now THAT could be ALOT more exciting and longer than 40 seconds...!!!

Wow, I actually really like the idea of Soarin' through a storm. All though it'd be difficult and probably scare the little ones, I think that's a really cool idea.

Didn't Universal try that once already with Twister? (complete with flying cow)

they did try it... and i think they failed... and not a flying cow... more like a floating cow...

They used to have a possessed cow in Mickey's Toontown. But after scaring one too many children with her devil horns, red eyes and green cud spewing from her mouth, they moved her to Epcot. You can now find her on the menu at the Electric Umbrella.

I think that is the brilliance of Imagineers. I don't doubt for a second they named it "Soarin'" and not "Soarin' over Florida" knowing they would swap the movie out.

I love the US national monuments idea, however being EPCOT I think world monuments would be more appropriate. They could even get a little eco / green with it in the message to tie in both portions of EPCOT.

I don't think she was deemed 'mad' until after she found out she was being transferred to Epcot. She was hoping to be sent to the Studios, as she always pictured herself oneday becoming a moooovie star.
