i also heard that about Star Tours... that would make the whole "Tour" idea work... see where it takes you this time... I think Soarin' the world could be good... having one show you America, and maybe 2 touring Europe, Asia and the South America... gliding over a Hawaiian volcano would be awesome...

A florida version would be amazing, however, they can just keep the soundtrack. One of my favorites!

The one thing I like about Soar-in from the first Time I rode it all those years ago in EPCOT, and then again when I rode it for the first time in DCA years later, is that the film can be switched out. So once California runs it course (weather or not it has is up for debate) we can tour any part of the world we want.

at first I thought they should def. make it a florida movie and fly over Disney World. But you def. get your fill of Disney World while there (which is a good thing !!) So I think a tour of America would be amazing! Start out in California still hit up Disney Land, then skim through the rockies, or fly in and out of the Grand Canyon, Cross the plains of Oklahoma, glide through the St. Louis Arch, fly through the Bayou, over the Gulf, hit up Florida.....(add in hawaii, alaska, the appalachins, and the east coast somehow in there) Imaginear that!!??

The real name of the attraction is "Soarin' Over California" but the adopted name is just "Soarin'"

If anyone has been reading Kingdom Keepers you'll know that some of the characters were in Soarin' in the middle of the night and they were testing a "Soarin' Over New York" video. Maybe a little Disney foreshadowing? I don't know.

i'm reading the kingdom keepers 3 book too and i remember reading that...i really do wonder if its foreshadowing..

That doesn't make any more sense than Soarin' over California. If that's to be the case, then why bother changing it? Neither one fits, if you're all so hung up on WDW being in California. To me, the ride's just fine the way it is. There isn't much that makes that ride truly 'California'. The golf course, the beach, the river, heck... the aircraft carrier? None of that screams 'California-only' to me.

The locations are what is California. Napa Valley, Golden Gate, Yosemite, etc.
