Illuminations Rehab

I was reading something today when i came across some news that Illuminations Reflections of Earth was getting new lasers put in to replace the old ones. Along with that more lasers would be installed in various locations such as on the islands in the lagoon. Can anyone verify this?

I heard about a rehab or new show while at WDW last year, but have seen nothing in writing except the link you posted.

I take anything about a rehab with a grain of salt unless it's straight from disney's mouth

absolutely... remember a few years ago a rumor came out that Illuminations was gonna be replaced... ill bet there was a thread about it... but that never happened...

but this might be something Disney might not tell you about until it is done... as long as the show doesnt stop for a few days...

i cannot see anyone noticing a major change... maybe slight... if anything major happened with this show... it would be HUGE news!!! people would be all over that...

Not thinking its true...but I'd LOVE to see new and improved lasers and improved and multiplied fountains. After seeing what they did with world of color in DCA, I have complete faith that they could make the fountain (barges?) 1000 times better.

I think the fountains are the new toys of the imagineers. I think they'll perfect them at DCA first then put them elsewhere like F! and IllumiNations. Fountain of Nations would be cool all lit up too

As long as the music and the basics of the show stay the same and its still Reflections of Earth, I dont see them doing anything but upgrades to hardware or whatnot.. Personally I'd have a fit if they change it.. Its insanely popular and possibly the best fireworks show at WDW.. Its been there for almost 11 years.. It debuted in Oct 1999 for the Millennium Celebration... Sorry for rambling.. I kind of love it LOL
