Yeah - that rings a bell now you've mentioned it... it reminds me of when Prince of Perisa first appeared on IMDB and Orlando Bloom was mentioned as getting the lead role.

I'm fine with the movie as is without Ewan.
I'm dying to see Tangled - we though we were getting it here in England at the same time as the US, but it turns out we have to wait until January!!! Aarrghhh!!! I've downloaded the soundtrack off iTunes though, so getting my Rapunzel fix until then.
I think Zachary Levi (?) did a great job.
