I agree with iwannabeminnie. I'm a Texan too, and a beverage conversation is always a two-part question-
"Do you want a Coke?"
"Yes"
"What kind? We have Sprite, Rootbeer, Pepsi...."

When I lived in Texas I found soda being called Coke a little annoying.Originally Posted by DisneyonaDime

Gee...it shuts down a few days before I get there...it's a conspiracy I tell ya!
Ice station cool, is going to begin a 6 month rehab/refurb starting on 5-31-05, word is the snow and ice/expedition site theme is to be kicked to the curb, and replaced with something else(not sure what). The CM's are also supposed to get a wardrobe.
This change in scenery could be caused in part by a law suit against disney because a kid got seriously injured during a snowball fight.

Down here in North Carolina we call it "coke" regardless of who made it. It could be Coke, Pepsi (The Taste Born in North Carolina), RC, or kroger brand. When you ask for a coke you will get a cola drink!!Originally Posted by DisneyGuy81
But in St. Louis, where I grew up, it was pop or maybe soda pop.
It was closed for our entire trip as far I could tell. We were wanting to try it, but it was closed. We didn't make it to Epcot until...Tuesday the 31st I think.

Welcome back Amanda! So how was it? From what I've heard the weather wasn't so great last weekend. Hope you have some good stories for us!!!Originally Posted by Mandabella
Here is something I've tried in restaurants to avoid making them say "we only have Pepsi" when I ask for a coke (or visa versa) , I'll ask for a cola, only thing is when I do that it seems like it's even more often that they say "we only have_____" and often with a confused look on thier face, go figure.
