It's odd because I've heard other people say similar things. Yet I have never once waited maybe more than 10 minutes. Maybe it's the time of the year I go, maybe it's the fact that I really don't care where I end up sitting. But waiting around idle for 2+ hours for something I've already seen is never something I'm willing to do.

My only hope if they do is that, like Fantasmic, the two "copies" have subtle differences.
How'd that incredible state-of-the-art dragon work out for them?
Re: Fantasmic Going Bye Bye?
Panicking about the lack of some show in the calendar listings 6 months out is a bit premature, when you factor in that is the calendar on their own site, which is not well known for its ability to display everything correctly every time...this has happened before with the parades and such before, and people think they've canceled those as well.
They don't list "Beauty and the Beast - Live On Stage" either right now.
Re: Fantasmic Going Bye Bye?
And trust me, I'm all for that one going bye-bye too.
Re: Fantasmic Going Bye Bye?
I don't think anyone was panicking however it seems even the dinner package isn't being opened beyond 1/4 so who knows.

There is another rumor piece posted around here, and on a few other sites, that it's more than just a "fixer upper" type refurb and it will instead be a 'reboot' of the show (i.e. some changes to the actual story etc.). Of course it's all rumor until the supposed official announcement at D23.

What's that they say about "great minds..."?
Re: Fantasmic Going Bye Bye?
You guys beat me to the punch... I was thinking the DL fix up to the dragon would be in store... Now if only they could fix the yeti... But that's a conversation for another thread...
Re: Fantasmic Going Bye Bye?
I haven't seen Fantasmic so I hope this isn't going away just yet.

It's not... just a temporary refurb. I posted a link to the news item on the 20th if you'd like to take a look. :)
