Australia would be a great one although from a restaurant point of view would be difficult? Spain is a must, a nice tapas restaurant would go down very well.
I always thought Norway was a strange choice-love the ride but very odd to pick that one.

I think if they researched it enough, and it was done properly, it could work. Though, it does come down to want the public want.
Australia would be an awesome addition for sure![]()

The Brazil rumor got a huge boost when the Vinylmation Flags series was released - with the 11 countries of the Epcot World Showcase featured - and Brazil. And the poster for it showed them in WS order as well, with Brazil before Mexico.
However, it is thought that they were just catering to the massive Brazilian Tour Groups...
The Outpost area, which comprises locations 2 and 3, were originally planned for an Equatorial Africa pavilion - that was even announced on TV on the Epcot Opening special on WWOD. I think it would have taken both sectors. Later it was earmarked for the Russian pavilion, but that also never flew...

I am surprised that Russia hasn't really Pushed for a pavilion... Especially since the cold war ended... I mean originally it made sense... Now I feel like it makes little sense to have one of the more influential countries in the world not represented... Even though Americas relationship with them is always in flux it seems...

But not every pavilion is funded by the country i think only one which is Morocco. So yes they would probably need a sponsor but it doesn't need to be the country.
Honestly i don't think that we will see anything until after Fantasyland is done. Then I think it will be nice to see something new around 2014ish maybe a Australia or Spain

oh your right... im just surprised that some Russian corporation has not stepped forward in the last 20 years to show some sort of world cohesiveness by joining Disney's World Showcase (not that it means a whole lot on the world level) but just as a way to prove that there is no long standing bad blood... im sure there is a Russian corp. with the money to fund a pavilion... not to say that Disney would just put one there because it would be logical...

Agreed...and agreed more. My cousin and I were debating this while in Epcot...and at the least it would end up being another major country
I've noticed that, too...very strange

And it still is the only country with a vinylmation not in Epcot...I mean it could still be a case of foreshadowing to the future, who knows...but I think it was just to appease all those Brazilian High School tour groups as well... just because
I really don't think that Russia will end up being a country in Epcot any time soon because of that...I still think that the next country may end up being Spain, Australia, Brazil or...the darkhorse, Turkey, maybe? Just a thought
