I was thinking the same thing. A working vacation with staff at a ranch is a bit different from running around with your wife and daughters at the beach time and time again.

Are you kidding Even with Romney's slight advantage, the primaries are still a major clusterf'. So much for consistency. Then with the Newt factor thrown in, possible Christie wildcard... ugh. My head hurts.

Christie is out. It's far too late for him to enter the race. He'd be crushed rather quickly. He doesn't have nearly enough national exposure and the absurd amount of funds he'd have to come up with nearly overnight is simply out of the realm of possibility.

Romney will be fine. Come the morning of the first Tuesday in November you folks will wake up and be faced with the reality that you're going to end up with either Obama the "socialist" (um, yeah), or Romney.

Romney will be in great shape with swing voters who are disgruntled with the Bush 2.0 administration, and the hard righties will fall in line quickly when presented with the reality described above.

Many people on the right who have been discussing the primaries are still taking a waith-and-see approach. And many of those are still thinking, "anyone but Obama". To me, I feel he should have been more forthcoming with America and explained that, when he ran on his cute little platform of hope and change, his whole plan was to do nothing for four years and then hope for change. That's not how it works, Obama.

Not all of what he did was bad. The nation is still enjoying the benefits of that stimulus package. ATV trails have never looked greener.
