I just recently went to WDW and the living seas was all blocked off. any info?
From what I heard, major renovation going on inside, including a better queue for Crush, and POSSIBLY some sort of SeaCab-ish ride.
I could be wrong, though...
Ok well that make sense
I love the "Imagineers at play" sign they have out front. Sure beats the "please pardon our dust" ones you usually see.
Anyone know when the refurb will be done by?
It was suppose to be done by Nov. 05 but due to weather and other unforseen things they are saying Jan. 06
I've seen firsthand that they still have all the mechanics downstairs for the old sea cab ride (or at least they did in early 2004) and I heard that it was being revived . The rumor I heard was that they stopped running it due to some nasty leaks. I thought the reopening was scheduled for late December.
Thats great. I missed the Sea Cabs
from other thread around here:
Partial reopen is expected by the holiday season. Expected to close after the first of the year for final additions.
:stop: Whatever happens though, Turtle Talk with Crush is the best thing to ever happen to the Living Seas in my opinion, and nothing better happen to it during this rehab! I'm fine if they're just going to rework the queue or something, but don't even touch the show please! It's great fun, not just for all the kiddos and parents in the crowd, but also for us big kids who just loved the character from the movie. I'm really curious to know how they make the Crush on screen interact with the audience like that. But at the same time, i don't want to be told just yet... I love how Disney magic makes you wonder about stuff like that. :scratchin
I agree Main
'Imagineers at play'?
Sounds a lot like the one they have around Submarine Voyage at Disneyland...MORE Nemo...
If it is then Nemo is going onto my -Di$ney Overexpo$ed- list, along with Pooh, $titch, and the Prince$$e$!
I agree with no doubt with Pooh, even though I'm a fan, and also in a way with Stitch. I mean, he [Stitch] does only have one attraction, but the hype over it is waaaay overdone. But Nemo??? Certainly the movie was entitled to some theming at one pavilion or attraction, and I know that from my own experience as a kid, the Living Seas never really enticed me all too much to visit until this new Nemo thing. And can you think of any better location for a "Nemo-Themo" (that sounds cute) than the Living Seas? I'd hardly call Nemo overexpo$ed.Quote:

But as for now, I can't imagine WDW without the Princess overkill.
I didn't mean just at WDW but in general. I guess you have a point. Nemo's not exactly on the li$t yet. . . . still waiting for part 2 or the T.V. series.
