HOWEVER the biggest problem is first the economy, second theming and third staffing. You'll need to hire at least 250 more people to manage the two new hotels.
Wow this thread has been around awhile!
Re: What type of new resort would you like to see open?
My thoughts.
1) I actually like the idea of a high-rise as has been suggested on here. I agrees that POR and the values are so spread out. I remember one night in POR, I was dying of thirst having returned from the parks. I was exhausted, sore, and thirsty. I got my family settled in the room and headed of for the food court before it closes to refill my mug. They had just closed! If I didn't have to hike so far I would have made it! Oh well had to hit the coke machine.
2)I think a small exclusive deluxe for adults only would be nice. You could have an awesome spa a fun pool and quiet pools and nice restaurants. Basically a honeymoon resort. It would be an option for adults only trips (food and wine festival!). Make the rooms plush and luxurious with king size beds and in room jacuzzis. I think it would stay sold out.
3) I really agree with everyone else. We need a new moderate most of all.
Re: What type of new resort would you like to see open?
Just a monorail themed one :)
Re: What type of new resort would you like to see open?
I voted for Moderate, but would be happy with value as well. As for themed rooms, I would love to see an Aristocats themed room, or resort with all the animated films set in France!
Re: What type of new resort would you like to see open?
I voted for deluxe resort as I love the fact you are close to the Magic Kingdom and on the monorail something along the lines of a swiss chalet.
Re: What type of new resort would you like to see open?
I believe a Value resort that is dedicated to the rides that have been retired. An area could be 20,000 Leauges, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Delta Dreamflight, etc... It would be a great place for everyone to remember the past rides and what Disney used to be like!
Re: What type of new resort would you like to see open?
World Showcase themed hotel near Epcot.
Re: What type of new resort would you like to see open?
Swiss Family like tropical bungalow resort on Discovery Island!!!

Now that sounds cool! Too bad they would totally make that a deluxe resort because of all the individual bungalows :faint:
Re: What type of new resort would you like to see open?
I'd like to see a resort on the monorail line between Epcot and the TTC.

I really like the idea of a resort purely for adults, perhaps for the moderate market. I love Disney for the fact I can escape all my woes and be a child and it would be nice to go to a resort where the children are all adults!

LOVE this idea! I'm sure Disney wouldn't do it, but a Moderate on the monorail line between Epcot and the TTC would be great!
I also wish Disney would look at the Persian Resort and the other "could have been" resorts. Didn't Walt help create these plans?
Re: What type of new resort would you like to see open?
NONE. Enough with the new resorts, already. The LAST thing we, as visitors, need is yet ANOTHER place to cram even more guests into, making the parks even more crowded.
