What type of new resort would you like to see open?

I have always wanted to see an Ultra-exclusive resort acessable only by boat. The old Discovery island could be the ideal location, or the small islands in the Seven Seas Lagoon. They were even put there with a Venetian themed resort in mind anyway, as I recall. each island could be themed to some other maritime theme, say a new england fishing village, Venice, Hong Kong, North Carolina Outer Banks... you could even do an Arctic ocean island, all white and glittering, snow drifts and igloos. and one could be partially underwater, with the concierge rooms having the deeper water views...

i would like to see a value resort without the large icons or a moderate resort that is in one building, not multiple.

i was thinking about some themes being a country theme, and an all over america theme (with different parts being differnt places in usa)

I love the idea of an attraction themed hotel, in particular, a Tower of Terror themed hotel. I can picture that, especially since it's supposed to be a hotel...

You do know that was one of Walt's originals, don't you? They were planning one at one time in the mid-70's, but it just went away...

I'd like to see a value resort on the Monorail line, myself...why should the moderate resorts get all the fun? How 'bout right there between the Contemporary and the TTC?...

Better yet...how about a resort for adults only? Age 25 and up! No kids to splash you in the pool, no screaming babies, no strollers...aahh, that would be glorious!

vacation club resort is needed b/c the timeshares are selling out too quickly and im a DVC member that can't seen to get a reservation b/c they fill up so fast...


plus, they are the most luxurious...and ive been to about 80% of all the WDW resorts too.

I have to agree with the attraction themed resort. I would love to see them make a tower of terror resort and actully have it like a tower. Really any ride themed resort would be good and i think they could fit in the moderate price range. If not tower of terror maybe somthing from the haunted mansion. I guess i just want a spooky themed resort.

I actually have a bunch of ideas on paper about this. I called it the Gracey hotel. (Did this before TOT was open) complete with haunts and bumps in the night. (had a haunting switch you could turn on or off in your room.

I thought since everyone loves the idea of a haunted hotel, and ghosts don't exist.. it would be a perfect match for a theme.

You do realize that a Ski Lodge resort was a pet progect of Walt Disney's shortly before his death? He had plans drawn and land bought in Mineral King Valley, CA. It was nixed due to "environmental concerns". BS- the locals just didnt want him muscling onto their monopoly. so, yeah, a ski lodge would be cool, Walt would have approved. Perfect back story for the hotel would be that the freak snowstorm that created Blizzard Beach created "Disney's Mountain Lodge", WDW's newest Moderate resort.
