Haunted Mansion

Just read on another site, the Haunted Mansion will be closed for rehab next May. Don't know for how long. Anyone hear anything?

This rumor has been floating arounf for quite a while now.

I read this rumor again recently on several sites. They mentioned a May rehab start date finishing in the fall of 2007 .

Can Mr. Bluebird (or any of our DWT Cast Members), confirm or deny this?

This is one rumor I hope isn't true. I'm planning a trip for early fall and I look forward to going on the HM. Keep us posted.

I am sorry for those who will be there then, but HM is in need of a serious rehab and a long one. I don't mean adding the variety of great effects they have at DL and not at MK. I know that is a long shot because of the money, but how about a simple cleaning? It needs it

All I've heard is something about the possibility of adding a store and/or photo op. at the end of the attraction (e.g. they take your photo on the Doombuggy with the hitchiking ghost and then charge you $137.50 for a 3x5 print or something along those lines)

I have read about a gift shop being added. It's rumored to start the 2nd or 3rd week of May '07, the week that I'll be there.

Oh no! I hope they just add a gift shop and don't touch the ride! It's so classic... why does Disney insist on ruining these priceless memories?? And besides the fact, I will be there the end of May and this is one of my favorite attractions. The MK won't be the same without riding the HM!

I would be in favor of a rehab to clean up the attraction this May. I really thought the DL version benefited from a good cleaning in the graveyard scene, as well as the refurbed music tracks throughout. Now, the graveyard scene is much clearer and easier to see than it is in MK, and the music is completely synced up.

I had just gone through this ride while at Mickey's not so scary halloween party, and we got a picture with a hitching ghost for $6.50 at the end of the ride, I have been wanting to see this ride since I was a kid and I was so glad to see that it still looked like what I seen on TV when I was little!!

Ill be glad that they are Refurbushing it last time i rode it it broke down on us and since they added Jack Sparrow to Pirates Of The Carribbean if they add Eddie Murphy to Haunted Mansion that would be dumb.

Considering Eddie Murphy's character doesn't have nearly half of the fanbase Jack Sparrow has, i'm betting it's a sure thing he won't be in it
