WDW Marathon - staying off-site

I am in the process of finalizing travel arrangements for the 2013 Marathon weekend. I have attended the past two years and have stayed on property (very convenient). I am considering staying off-site since I have about a gabillion Hilton Honours points.
Could someone please tell me how challenging it is to drive to the half and full with traffic and parking? I did the Goofy last year and will be attending all three events in 2013 (Dopey) so I have to consider driving and parking 3 times.

Well, the only thing I will say is that you'll need to leave earlier to get to the Epcot parking lot prior to your event(s).

Other than that, I haven't heard any issues with getting to the Epcot parking lot....only that there is congestion.

If you get to the parking lot by 3:15 you will get right in. By 3:30 there is a line of traffic.

Earlier the better!! And make sure you know what roads may be closed.
