Another great show Lou. You have really 'hit the ground running'. I am really looking forward to the MagicMeets in July after hearing Fred talk about it. The length of the show doesn't bother me one way or the other. The show is always interesting so the time passes by without me noticing it.

Great show Lou! I did want to offer up a guess on the mask and bullet at Pecos Bill's.... I would agree that the items are from the Lone Ranger - the reason why the plaque is blank is an homage to the typical end of each episode where the question would be raised "Who was that masked man?" "I don't know, but he left this..." ( the silver bullet )

For me, I am interested in a well produced show with news, but especially rumors and details...those are the things that have always psyched me up about WDW. I really must commend you. You had a good podcast before with what's-his-name But you now have the best one available...after 2 shows. Please, please, please...no surprise cancellations on this one!!

As far as this particular show is concerned, Jeff was just terrific. Great information and a real love for the subject came through in both of you. And also, kudos to Mr. Block. He picked up the topics seemlessly and really offered a nice perspective.

So, I hope I never hear the words "this is going long" or "I'll try to keep the show shorter" ever again. WDW Radio can be 3 hours long, and if it is like this show, still not long enough.
Lou, dbm20th really summed up perfectly how I feel about WDW Radio.

I loved having Fred Block do "color commentary" on your topics. His love and knowledge for all things Disney really shows through. Jeff Pepper made me want to go to Pecos Bills first thing in the morning! I want to go and see the things he spoke of during his segment. And he's right, it's hard to see the details when you are busy ordering lunch, waiting in line and trying to find a table.

Great show Lou! Looking very much forward to next week!!

Lou, WDW Radio is a hit. Keep 'em coming!!

Hey! I just wanted to send a quick message agreeing with everyone that the new show is very strong. Show 3 was even better than the previous one, and included lots of great info.

I do have to say that I actually prefer having the show only be about an hour. I'm probably in the minority, but it's great to have really tight shows that flow perfectly, even if they're a little shorter. I'll keep listening regardless and will enjoy it for sure, but wouldn't mind it being slightly shorter than the 95-minute running time.

    Good job Lou!
Another magical show again this week! Keep up the good work!

Personally I wouldn't cut down the show any shorter than an hour, but longer would be great so I can hear more of Lou.

Wow. *Great* show this week. Really amazing. The DSI segment was wonderful. I'm going to Pecos Bills during my trip this month soley to see all the stuff you talked about. I think that's a truly inspired segment, spending time just about one particular feature of WDW. I look forward to more of them.

As for show length, I say the longer the better. My commute to work is 20 minutes each way. If you could make a show that I could listen to throughout the entire week as I'm driving to and fro, I'd be a happy man. This week's show got me through to Wednesday morning... :-) Here's hoping for a 200-minute show next week!

Quick question - I think you referred to the new Yak & Yeti restaurant as table-service this week, but the WDWToday guys just referred to it as a new counter-service restaurant in their Monday show. Is it both? Or did one of you scoop the other?

I think the show should just be as long as it needs to be each week. I'm sure some weeks will contain more rumors, news, and some weeks will be slow with very little news coming out of Disney or very few new rumors. On a week that is overflowing with information, I'd rather get the full spectrum of news and commentary and information rather than having to cut it short because of a required length of time. KWIM??

    Let the show flow....

I have seen the upgrades to the HM at Disneyland and have to admit - they are fantastic! I would love to see the Bride and Madame Leota come to Florida. I think they would definitely keep the integrity of the ride.

But, Lou, I agree, if they'll just give it a little TLC, I'd be extremely happy!

    Thanks for a great show!

Please move as far to the end of the row as possible. Stopping in the middle is distinctly unpatriotic!

Yet another fantastic show. I concur with previous posts - the longer the better! I wouldn't say no to 90 minutes!

I hope the Haunted Mansion is open when I go down in mid June!

Here's a question for you Lou - is there a WDW equivalent to Club 33? Would love to know the answer.

    Great show, Lou!

I'm still not sure what I think about the early 90s Super Nintendo game soundtrack you've got going, but other than that the background music is great. I love the bit of the intro where you go through different Disney sound effects and musical cues, though I could do without the somewhat offensive 'de chow eez starting' guy. My wife, who is South American, asks that I skip over it. Lines like 'my siestas are geeteeng chorter an chorter' don't amuse her at all.

The bits with Jeff Pepper are /great/. I'd really love to see something like that every week. That's just the sort of insight on The World that I love. Not just trivia, but an in depth look at every aspect of a ride, attraction or even restaurant. I doubt anyone could've guessed that a greasy spoon like Pecos Bill's could have so much to it.

As for people not knowing who Pecos Bill is these days, you're right about that. Last time I was in The World, while waiting in line for Splash Mountain, I was behind a man and his wife who were looking at a map of the Magic Kingdom. They were clearly trying to decide if they'd seen everything worth seeing in Adventureland and noticed Pecos Bill's on the map. "Peekobill?" said the husband, clearly baffled. "Sounds like a Chinese place!" said the wife. They decided that they did want to go to Peekobill, because they'd never had Chinese food. (I only wish that I had stuck with them. I would have loved to've seen what Husband thought of the Chinese burgers.)

However, you guys do seem to kind of intimate that Pecos Bill was invented by Disney. Or at least you don't touch on the history of the character that lead Disney to make shorts based on him. I mean, the guy roped a tornado and used a rattlesnake for a whip. He's one of America's original superheroes from an age when a guy didn't need unstable molecules to be 60 feet tall, he just needed a big blue ox.

Great show, keep it up. Long is not bad! My iPod has plenty of room!

Hey Everyone, Newbie to this board, but have lurked for a little bit and listened to Lou for a while.

I just wanted to weigh in on the length of the show. The way this show flows the length I dont think is an issue at all. The segments seem to be crisp, informative, entertaining and really flow so that before you know it you have already listened for over an hour. When a show works like that you don't have to worry about going on too long.

    Keep up the great work!!

I've never heard of a WDW equivalent, but I do know that they have a Club 33 in Tokyo.
The Butabi brothers from Night at the Roxbury:

Doug Butabi: So anyways, I was standing there waiting to use the pay phone.
Steve Butabi: Yeah, he was, seriously.
Doug Butabi: And this guy who was on the phone, turns around and tips his hat like this.
Steve Butabi: And who do you think that guy was?
    Doug Butabi: Lou Mongello.
Steve Butabi: The Disney World Trivia man, I swear to God, I was there.
Doug Butabi: Of course you were, you were the one who yelled the Podcaster's name.
Steve Butabi: I was like, "LOU!!!"
