Welcome to The WDW Radio Show, your Walt Disney World Information Station. This is Show #40 for the week of November 11, 2007.

I'm back from an abbreviated trip aboard the Disney Magic with not only some news and rumors from Walt Disney World, but some fun, exclusive audio from the trip. I had the chance to interview Captain Tom Forberg, Captain of the Disney Magic, to find out what it’s like to command the flagship of the Disney Cruise Line Fleet, learn more about the two new ships being built for the DCL. The group that I put together was also given a private tour of the bridge with the Captain, where I recorded some of the questions and answers about this fascinating ship. The Captain's assistant also spoke with me about her position at the Captain's side, and what life is like aboard the Magic.

Jonathan Dichter is back with another Voices Behind the Magic segment, and of course, I'll answer more of your emails.

On the show this week, Lou talked about the new lights on the castle. Does anyone have video of the "lighting"?

I thought I was the only one! It took me over an hour to fully download it

At one point it told me it would be done in 3 hours and I am on DSL

I think August is too early to start Halloween too. I hope Lou's source was just having a bad dream.
I really enjoyed the Q&A sessions with the ship's captain. I can't imagine the next Disney ship to be 50% bigger than the current ship. Wow! Now if Disney could just make the cruise 50% less.

Yeah I got it to download. I had to delete everything and re-subcribe to the show, but now I have it yeah!!!

3 hours from iTunes?!?!?!??!?!? Hmmm.... when was this? I downloaded it one one machine late last night to transfer to my iPod and it was OK, and tested it again this morning. Oh... wait... was it VERY late at night? If so I had the server reboot for something unrelated so that may have been it (Lou praying that it was)

I stopped the downloading when it said 3 hours. I kept starting and stopping it because I was getting very frustrated. I finally got it to finish this morning. It probabaly took a total of 45 minutes total.

I thought it was me until I saw another post today on it.

Sorry Lou, but I have to bring this up. The email you read about wrestling Matt was already read on wdw today I believe last week. See what happens when you go on some much needed vacation. Matt acually reads the same email BEFORE you. I believe a certain place has frozen over.

Great show. To bad the captain was so tight lipped. Must be from his armed forces training. And August is way to early to start the party. As always keep up the great work and keep those shows coming.

Great show Lou! It's no problem it was a little later than normal, it was worth the wait.

It must be exciting to be able to speak with the Captain of the Disney Magic, what an amazing opportunity.

Seeing as I've never been on one before, how are the Disney cruise ships? Are they as amazing as they look in pictures and/or video? Also, good on you for being able to see the new castle lights in person! It looks great even in just pictures.

Anyway, great show this week Lou! Now get some much needed rest!
