    Hall of Presidents Rehab?

Lou mentioned having heard from a CM that HOP wld be closed for rehab until January.

I have been hearing from a number of sources (including allears) for awhile now that it was scheduled to be down until the Summer.

Has the planned rehab been shortened?

I was wondering the same thing, everything I have seen recently has pointed to later in the year, unfortunately

Not sure where you heard Lou say January, but on the Oct. 19th WDW Radio Show he said July 1. http://www.disneyworldtrivia.com/Dis...r-19-2008.html

    I heard the same thing.

I also heard that they won't have the current president speak anymore. I wonder if Disney will change their mind with the election of Obama now. I understand that part of the reason for only having Lincoln speak was because people were booing Bush when he would start speaking.

Wow, thats sad. You'd think that people could put their differences aside when they're in the happiest place on Earth.

Yeah, when I went on the HoP, when the announcer said "...and the current president of the United States, George W. Bush" everyone seemed to erupt in a coughing/sneezing fit at the sound of his name. No matter what people think of him, they should try and be respectful. Okay, my rant is done

The last time I saw the show, I was sort of expecting the behavior from the crowd, and was pleasantly surprised at the stoicism of my fellow countrymen.

Now, what's truly unsettling is that in another half century, Americans will be looking nostalgically back to an era when we had real leaders; like William Jefferson Clinton and George W. Bush...........

In the October 26 podcast at 33:28 Lou advises that he heard from a very knowledgable CM from the HOP that the attraction would be closed until January.

Just wondering if this is new information and the expected rehab will be quicker than originally planned. (I hope so, because I am visiting in March and would love to see it).
