Hello and welcome to The WDW Radio Show - Your Walt Disney World Information Station. I am your host, Lou Mongello, and this is show #132 for the week of August 16, 2009. Thank you for tuning in once again.
There's no news this week, as I'm traveling quite a bit, but instead, I wanted to bring you a Top Ten list that I've been looking forward to covering for quite some time. You know that Walt Disney World is all about story and detail, and some of the very best examples of both take place even before you enter an attraction. So this week, we're going to look at the Top Ten (and then some) Queues in Walt Disney World.
I'll play more of your voicemails at the end of the show, so sit back, relax, and enjoy this week's episode of the WDW Radio Show.
You can email the show at lou@wdwradio.com or call the voicemail TOLL FREE at 888-703-2171.
Thanks for listening! Be sure to tune in next week!

Re: WDW Radio Show Disney Podcast #132 - August 16, 2009
Really great show this week, Lou! Your Top 10 (well, not really 10) Queues in Walt Disney World with Tim Foster was very entertaining and just brings back plenty of memories. I agree with all of the (many) attraction queues you both mentioned, and it was just a very enjoyable Top 10 this time. As always, keep up the great work!

I can't wait to see the Toy Story Mania! que when I visit next month. Another great show...
Re: WDW Radio Show Disney Podcast #132 - August 16, 2009
I've been hoping you'd devote a segment of your show to a top 10 queues! Who knew you'd devote an entire show to it! Great job! I pretty much agree with all your top 10+more queues. But I would like to add the queue for Soarin' when the games are functioning. Talk about interactive and fun!! What an amazing bit of technology! Has anyone been in the Soarin' queue lately? Are the games still being used or has WDW nixed them?

Hi Lou!
I loved that you ended with Flash Gordon!!! I loved that movie! Hearing the music I see those hawk men flying in the sky! :) Reminds me I have to show it to my kids!
My favorite queue is the Star Wars ride!
Sharon & Randy from the Suburbs of Cleveland! :)

After two trips in which I couldn't get to check out Toy Story Mania, third time was a charm this past July... I got there early enough that my family could just walk right through the queue, but a part of me wished we could have had a little more of a line because there is simply so much to see in that queue! Love it!
One more queue I tend to like, that I kinda feel is often overlooked, is The Seas with Nemo. I feel like it sets the stage (kinda like the POTC queue) for the underwater setting... and even walking by the birds outside screaming "mine mine mine" just before you get inside (or underwater)... I consider that part of the queue too. It sets you apart from the rest of the park outside... and I think that's very important for a good queue.

Great show, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks for the tip about not using the fastpass lane at EE. We'll definitely take the time to enjoy the queue this time.
Re: WDW Radio Show Disney Podcast #132 - August 16, 2009
Big question?? What attraction queues were not in Lou and Tim's top 10??
Fun show this week Lou! My favorite used to be the Magic of Disney Animation que, where artwork was on display from the previous release. I also enjoy the pre-show videos (that could be another top 10 list), the muppets, aerosmith Cranium Command had an awesome cartoon!
anyway....Keep up the great work!

The Living Seas with Nemo
Walk slowly through on a blistering hot day- and you think you are in the ocean.
Re: WDW Radio Show Disney Podcast #132 - August 16, 2009
Great show Lou, and Tim! There are just too, too many great queues at WDW to name.
It's not really a queue, but it deserves mentioning as one of THE BEST entrances (queues). The entrance to the Magic Kingdom. The layout, with the gentle up-hill slope, with the monorail and train station in front of you, then passing thru the tunnels and exiting onto Main Street with the castle on the horizon is probably one of the most memorable and sensory over-loaded entrances of any single queue in all the world!

Re: WDW Radio Show Disney Podcast #132 - August 16, 2009
Loved this show!! My favorite queue would probably be either Haunted Mansion or Pirates just for the feeling they evoke. They definitely get you in the spirit of the ride to follow.
