| Space Mountain Questions. So I just listened to show number 148. And I`m pretty curious. So what`s new and what`s gone? 1. Is the actual ride still dark? Or is there more light? 2. Have the wait times been improved? 3. I understand the new theme of the ride(Spaceport). Do you all like it? 4. Does the attraction still have that same space mountain feel? So there are my questions. I`m very anxious to see what new stuff they added. |

| Re: Space Mountain Questions. 1. I understand the ride is even darker now so that you really can't see the track. But I haven't gotten the chance to ride yet.

One new thing that was added that was pointed out to me by a CM when we were escorted off the ride (It broke down) the first day it reopened was that when you are going up the lift it sounds like there are 1,000 birds chirping. It is actually kind of an annoying sound and not sure what it has to do with space travel. I guess it is just meant to be ambient noise.

  | Re: Space Mountain Questions. I rode it during my trip last week. No changes to the wait times, though they added a 'game' about 1/4 of the way from the load area. If you're anywhere from that point back to, well outside, I guess, you're stuck with nothing to do. The ride itself is a bit darker and I almost thought smoother, though maybe I just wanted it to seem different after the referb? |

|  Re: Space Mountain Questions. I herd that it is so much better now. I really was not looking forward to the refurb but I herd they did some great things to it. I am really excited because I get to go on it for the first time in January.   |

| Re: Space Mountain Questions. The ride itself is far darker. The queue is lit better than before. Overall the changes weren't as major as I was expecting but the ride runs smooth, has some nice new effects and I'm pretty content. Def still feels like space mountain.
