Last weekend, more than 55,000 people visited Walt Disney World for what has become one of the most popular events of the year – the half and full marathons. Since 1994, this has grown from a series of endurance events to a weekend to be experienced and enjoyed by athletes, spectators and even entire families, and in which lifelong memories, and often friendships are created. So this week, I'm joined on a roundtable discussion as we recap the recent events and hopefully inspire you to visit in the future, because The Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend – It's Not Just For Runners Anymore.

Lou - I was online for the live broadcast from MK. I cannot believe that people run 26 miles, much less in freezing rain! Kudos go out to all who put in the training before and effort in the marathon. They really earned those medals!

I was the first "civilian" in the Magic Kingdom" on Half Marathon morning. This is my first photo....




We walked to our WDW Radio Team Pit Crew spot across from the Watch Shop/Main Street Cinema and I took this one....

No wheelchair for Lori ever again. Mitch crashed me into a pole. Sadly I won't be there next year but I will be cheering from home. Unless of course I win the lotto.

The entire weekend was a fantastic experience, even with the cold weather. To be honest, I've had just as much fun relating the story of starting the half marathon in the snow as I did actually running it!

For those on the fence -- go for it! You will finish!
