Captain EO returns to Walt Disney World

Michael Jackson, the king of pop, has passed away, but his character CAPTAIN EO is alive again in Epcot's Future World. He's back and ready to save the world once again.

Join Lou Mongello as he meets with some of the Disney Cast Members and Imagineers responsible for bring the 3-D show back during a special showing just days before it premiered to the public

i watched the video and the podcast! very informitive! I can't wait to watch it in Epcot on the 28! woo!

I was not a huge fan of Captain EO in the 90s, but took the kids to see it at DLR last month and it was a hoot. As we left the theater I told my kids, "See, it's just like I told you. In the future, everyone will dress and look like they are on 'Disco Fever'."

I did not like it th efirst time it was at DL. Saw it once and just did not like it. WIsh they would have brought back something better and with a less controversial person.

I saw it at WDW early on once. I was so proud of Disney for immediately pulling it when the controversy surfaced. Disappointed Disney brought it back after stated they would not bring it back at D23. Shows you the $$$ are more powerful than values. Betting this isn't what Walt had in mind when he dreamt of a place to take his daughters.

I happened to enjoy it throughly. I don't recall ever watching EO even though I was old enough to see it. The music and choreography are fantastic and the dated visual effects have more personality than "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience". Glad to see it back.

I didn't expect to walk into a controversy fest here. I mean do we really want to be arguing over Michael Jackson's grave? I saw the video (even though I didn't see the attraction in person) on youtube and I thought the movie was impressive! I mean what about the music?

It was fun bringing my son to see it for the first time. He really liked it. I enjoyed it even more than the last time it was at Epcot. We went back twice during the week and both times it was a walk on

I am now convienced that Disney had no intentions of bringing EO back.
But then Kodak was pulling out, no plan, no sponsor. Pull EO out of the closet and a freebie.

Any sort of of film of the dude makes my skin crawl and not the type of man I would my son to aspire to be. Creepity. That said there is tons of other 80's music I love. I just can't separate MJ the man from MJ the musician.
