Via Napoli, located next to Tutto Italia Ristorante, the restaurant in the Italy pavilion in Epcot World Showcase at Walt Disney World Resort, is the first authentic Italian pizzeria to ever open in the park.
Join Lou Mongello from WDW Radio as he visits the restaurant on its opening day, talks with Patina Restaurant Group CEO Nick Valenti, and samples the flavors and culture of Italy in this new Walt Disney World dining experience
Via Napoli features a selection of classical Neapolitan pizzas, created water calibrated specifically to the pH found in Naples, Italy. A unique feature at Via Napoli is the wood-burning ovens, which are named after the three active volcanoes in Italy -- Mount Etna, Mount Vesuvius and Stromboli. Each oven is sculpted with the "face of the volcano" -- reflecting the gods whose mythology surrounds each volcano's history.

I read they were taking ADRs
Am I the only one that is wondering why a pizza shop is a sit down restaurant? I saw the menu and there are a couple regular entrees, but this is getting out of hand!![]()
Lou,
I just finished watching the youtube video you put together. Once again an excellent job! I love how you included the cast members in your presentation. It really helped you feel the authenticity of the place! Of course the food looks authenticate too, but since I couldn't attend I'll yield to your Italian taste buds on this!
Keep up the good work, and as you say, keep moving forward!

No. I wonder if this will be dining plan? Would you be having individual pies then? As much as I love great pizza, I just can't see eating there when there are so many wonderful more unique places to dine at. Bona vs pizza. Now if you reside in an area that doesn't have decent pizza, I guess I could understand the curiosity.
There is nothing like a brick oven pizza!!!!

May or may not be the right place for this question but what was the brand/type of Mozzarella they use at the restaurant? Nick Valenti said it so fast I couldn't even hear it.
I've been trying to make a good Neapolitan pizza at home for the family for months and because I don't have a vowel at the end of my name I have to try harder and get the best tips I can find.
Great video.....and SUPER hungry right now.
Thx,
Brian
I think I answered my own question....gotta love Wikipedia. Fior di latte mozzarella.
Thanks!
You will find the pizza there to be very different then the typical pizza you will get here in the states. Very thin, less cheese, and they cook it in about 2 to 3 minutes. Personally, I love the stuff!
The only saving grace right now, dealing with being so far from Via Napoli and not being able to try what they have is, tomorrow several of us are going to go toast it's opening at an official Napoli pizzeria here in Salt Lake, certified by Vera Pizza Napoletana. It's called Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana, and oh my gosh it's good! There's also one in Vegas if you can make it there.
I look forward to trying Via Napoli in Oct. when I make my quarterly pilgrimage to "The World".![]()

Well I guess it depends on who you ask. Lou seemed to love it and then there is the review on All Ears. They speak of needing pepperoni to overcome the "charred" dough.
If you read down to some of the comments of other who ate there it went from good to OK to it was burnt not Charred and other dinners served Burnt as well.
Being one dining credit I wonder how that will work with ordering a larger pizza???
Here is the link to All Ears review.

I'm planning on heading there tonight for dinner with a friend. I'm not sure but I think they aren't doing ADRs yet, for today I mean, so hopefully it will be easy to get into. If I do get to eat there tonight I'll be back with my review.![]()
