    Basic Question

I have to admit I donít know all the Disney movies or even all the park theme songs so this question might be obvious to everyone but me. What is the WDW Radio theme music? Iím talking about that bouncy piano number that plays at the beginning and end of each Podcast.

I think someone composed it for Lou.

Ya he plays a longer version with singing in it in one of the podcasts... it's something a fan did for him

If we're thinking of the same thing, the fan-contributed song is not a version of the podcast theme, but an original composition of the fan ("...WDW Radio, it helps my Disney knowledge grow..."). At least the lyrics are original - I haven't heard it in a while, but I remember thinking the melody seemed like a variation of "It's a Small World".

I'm not sure where the theme song ("WDW Radio, your information station" followed by the piano) came from, but I think it's been in use since episode 1 (and therefore before there were any "fans" per se), and assume it's something Lou commissioned or was given by a friend.

    Re: Basic Question

It is a version of the podcast theme, it was created by a fan and has a woman singing in it, but he just used the piano ditty and the "wdw radio your information station" part for the actual theme for the show. He plays the long version in an early episode and then for the rest he just plays part of it for the theme.

I found it! Listen to episode 4! The song is the same except longer, in later episodes he just cuts out most of the singing. David and Kathy Recchione are the ones who wrote/sang it for him apparently

Yep, we were definitely thinking of two different things. The song I was thinking about was sung by a man by himself. Lou played it twice I think but I don't know what episodes.

Oh so the song you're thinking of is a completely different song altogether then? Hm I may have a vague memory of that...

Yeah, completely different. I don't remember when it was played, but I know it was played twice. The first time might actually have been in the voicemail segment but I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure it was roughly to the melody of "It's a Small World". It was submitted by a listener. Some of the lyrics to the chorus were:

    "WDW Radio
It helps my Disney knowledge grow
    Hosted by Lou Mongello
    It's my favorite podcast show"

I remember thinking it was kind of catchy.
