Haven't encountered that. Why not just download it to your iPod and then listen at your leisure from whatever point you need to?
Has anyone else noticed the show appearing in a different itunes format beginning this month? Previously, I was able to stream the show out of itunes with the ability to pause and pick up from where I left off. Now, the streaming feature is extremely limited. If I get cut off in the middle of an episode, I can only restart from the beginning all over again
I thought it might be an itunes issue, but my other podcasts are still working the old way.
Any help/thoughts??
I noticed the same exact thing.
WHen it comes to downloading it, that takes up a lot of space. And when you have an iphone, you dont have the space for a lot of episodes. So, it was easier to go into itunes and stream it off of there. That way you did not tie up your phone's disk space.
I really wish they would go back to the other way.

I download a couple of episodes at a time and delete them after I listen to them. 32gb on my iPod is plenty of room for movies, songs and podcasts. If there are any I care to save for some reason, I dump them onto an external drive. Never a storage issue on my iPod.
I've been having the same problem!
I've got an 8 gig iPhone so I really counted on streaming episodes throughout the day. Now I guess I'll have to sync my phone everyday to remove the episodes I've listened to and add new ones. :-/
I only keep the most recent episode on my iPod and haven't noticed any problems.
Discovered what’s happening with iTunes on the iPhone.
On your PC or MAC iTunes: If you enable Syncing podcasts to your iPhone, you can only play audio stream podcasts (no pause or scrubbing),
When I disabled the Syncing of Podcasts, plugged my iPhone into my PC and re-synced, its back to normal.
I guess Apple assumes that you normally download the podcast ahead of time if you chose the sync option.
