I LOVE Splash Mountain! Two years ago, I went on with, I belive, 9 other people. We were so low in the water that eveytime we went down ANY sort of drop water washed over the front! (Of course, that was were I was sitting) It was a blast!

Yeah - don't know exactly how Buzz qualifies as a "classic" ride either...

20,000 Leagues was my favorite old ride - heck, I rode the thing @ Disneyland over 40 years ago! HM was & is still a favorite - the recent renovations made it even better!

My favorite has always been Splash Mountain. It's truly my Laughing Place.

I love Splash Mountain, and for some reason I'm rather fond of The Jungle Cruise, but I voted for The Haunted Mansion. I just think it's brilliantly put together.

I know I'm in the minority but my first "magical moment" at Disney was on It's a Small World.

apparently, my choice isn't all too popular, but this was my first roller coaster EVER. it's my favorite. I have to say though, the rest of the rides on the list - I love all of them!!! Although this ride stuck out to me most, I love all of the other ones.. actually, I'm not too fond of Splash Mountain (i don't like the feeling of "free falling " at all...no TOT for me!!!)

Re: Favorite Magic Kingdom Classic Ride

Voted for Pirates but actual fav is carousel of Progress. Just get a chuckle when they get to the last frame of the futuristic stuff (circa 1990)....

I'm with park hopper dad, i always swing by and say hi to the Carousel (originally build in 1917) i love the horses plus it was made by a company that is literally a mile from my house (Philadelphia Toboggan Company).

Definitely Pirates, although Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain were serious contenders. You just don't get that musty water smell on those, though

Re: Favorite Magic Kingdom Classic Ride

First of all,the term classic means different things to everyone. Some of the younger crowd that was born in the 80's and 90's,might think Buzz Lightyear ride is a classic.Us older folks may think 20,000 Leagues,Haunted Mansion,or even the good ole River boat are classics.
I personally like Carousel of Progress, which is the most classic of all.Not only has it been there since 1971,but it was also an exhibit at a world's fair, years and years ago;I don't remember the actual year.
So classic means many things to all people.

Re: Favorite Magic Kingdom Classic Ride

i like all of them, but my favorite would have to be splash mt. i love the memories ive had on that ride for one thing; like, last yr, we took my little brother who was 4 at the time,(hes tall for his age. and talks like hes 10) on that ride, and he absolutly loved it! he giggled with wide eyes through the whole thing. he hasnt been able to stop talking about it, and its been a year since he's been on it!
