Re: Favorite Magic Kingdom Classic Ride
Ok,even though I included Splash Mtn as one of my many favs also,it's actually not a classic ride. How can you say that Park Hopper dad? Because for something to be considered classic, such as older cars, they have to be a least 20 yrs old to be classic. So getting technical about it,where do we start the 20 yrs?Where?See no one ever considered that thought did they?If you go back to any year in the 80's,then any year here in 2000-09 would be 20 yrs.BUT! To be considered a classic ride,we need to go back to the beginning,1971,when the Magic Kingdom opened in Fla.So due to that fact, any ride that was in operation on opening day, should be the only ones to be considered a classic ride, because in 1991 those rides there in operation on opening day, became classics in 1991.However,let's go one step further,if we also consider any ride that was added to MK from 1971 to 1989,these,and these only should be considered to be classic rides as well.Reason, because any ride/attraction that was added, up until 1989,would now be 20 yrs old and these would be classics. So technically,Splash Mtn,is not a classic ride yet, since it was built in 1991 and opened in 1992.It is actually only 17 yrs old.So in 3 yrs it will be an offical classic ride.
There, now getting educated was not so bad after all.

Both my wife and myself love the Haunted Mansion, but with a very close second we have to go with the TTA (this is our TFF[total family favorite] kids included).

I always call it the people mover. I don't know if I actually remember it having that name, or if I just remember hearing my parents refer to it that way because they remember it, but either way, "people mover" has stuck with me.

Space Mountain barely edges Haunted Mansion for me. Honestly, they were neck and neck. I'm surprised how far behind Space Mountain is currently in the poll.

Re: Favorite Magic Kingdom Classic Ride
I voted for Splash Mountain, but the TTA is a very close second, although I miss the old Tom Morrow spiel! Bring back the 'forward facing tentacles' announcement - please!!!
