    when did MGM change????

    I thought I stayed up on my disney news, but since I just booked my vacation, I noticed that MGM changed its name. I had to find out on wikipedia haha. I never even saw it coming???? was this common knowledge before it happened?
    I'm the only one!!!!



    Summer 1989---Offsite

    They announced the change sometime last year but the official name change didn't happen until sometime last month, I forget the exact date.
    Upcoming Trips to WDW:

    Dec 6-10: Disney Wonder
    Dec 10-19: Port Orleans French Quarter

    There's a few threads around these forums about the change coming and even a few with pictures of the new signage the day it went into effect. Do a search or two for MGM or Hollywood Studios and you should find all the info your heart desires. LOL!

    I believe January 7 was the date of the official name change.
