I say Ca-RIB-bee-an because it is named for the Caribe Indians. I keep the B with the end of the 2nd syllable because that makes the pronunciation more like Caribe. If I pronounced it "Car-i-BEE-an," it would be like it's the Cari Indians.

But the real question should be, "Is it Pay-cos Bills or Pea-cos Bills?"

For the ride, it's always Care-ah-bee-an. The rest of the time I alternate back and forth with no apparent reason for doing so.

It's kinda strange, but I also refer to the attraction by pronouncing it one way; when I refer to the geographic region, it's the other.

(I never said I was consistent about everything.)

Another one I have a hard time with! If you ask my friends, it sounds like "Picklesville" when I say it. So I guess for me it's "Pay-cos" but said quickly with no emphasis on the "pay", just "Paycos".

I voted for the first one since that's how I usually pronounce it. But it really depends, I imagine, on how much rum I've had.

    Po-ta-toe or po-tah-toe?

I use both pronounciations for different purposes like so many others. And I say Paycos Bills.

The Golden age never was the present age… but with human liberty we can fulfill the promise and meaning of America. To everyone a chance. To all people, regardless of their birth the right to live, to work, to be themselves, and to become whatever their visions can combine to make them. This is the promise of America...And I foresee the American adventure to continue for a long, long time!
