It's funny - I'll pronounce the attraction as Pirates of the Care-ah-bee-an, but I tend to pronounce the resort as Ca-RIB-bee-an Beach.

Haha - it does really depend! I've never really thought about it before, but I do say Pirates of the Care-ah-bee-an and Ca-rib-bee-an Beach.
I do pronounce it differently depending on the context like others, but in every day conversation I saw Care-a-bean

Pirates of the Cari-bean and Ca-ribbean Resort, but if I'm talking about the sea of the same name or something like "i went to the Caribbean on vacation" (not that I ever have) I use them interchangibly.
I say it the first way. But sometimes the second way in context.

I like most of the others say it both ways depending on context. Funny how the english language is like that huh?
When I'm talking about the ride or the movies... it's the first one. When I'm referencing the islands... the second.

Thats odd, I pronounce it the first way for Potc, but the second way for CBR just like a few other people. Strange.

When it's Pirates, it's Care-ah-bee-an, when it's the resort it's Ca-RIB-bee-an Beach...silly huh? Both WDW and I pronounce them differently!
