I have to agree. I had never done Carousel of Progress as a kid but my wife had and "dragged" me on on one of our trips. It is a great show and I find myself every once in a while, for no reason at all, singing "it's a great big beautiful tomorrow...." and it brings me right back to the parks.

Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow is the only theme song I have heard as well. I love this attraction because it is one of the direct links back to Walt and the WED team.

Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow, love the song. It always makes me feel as things will be beautiful the next day, even if not so good that day.

I prefer Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow but also remember "Now is the time" from when I was a kid.
I heard that the execs at GE had Disney change from " Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" to "Now is the time" since they wanted to encourage people to by GE stuff "Now" - now in the future when it was better.
Now that GE no longer sponsors the Carousel of Progress, Disney brought back the original song.
    Interesting!

I don't remember Now is the Time, but I love Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow. I sing it all the time, especially when I am headed to the Parks. It reminds me of Wlat and his many inspiring quotes.

I love them both but I chose Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow because I think it fits the attraction better than Now Is the Time did. That said, I love when I'm in Tomorrowland and hear Now Is the Time playing. This past trip in January I caught it and ended up singing it all day... drove my family nuts. LOL!

I think that Now is the time is a better song, but as a ride theme song I like Beautiful tomorrow...then again I am biased.

Re: What song do you prefer?

After hearing Richard Sherman talk about the song on WDW Radio episode 80, I've got to say "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow."

I knew I liked the song, but after hearing him talk about how they were inspired, it's one of my favorite songs from the parks now.

I like both but picked 'Now' as it was the first one I heard in the parks.

Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow is a classic. I love Carousel of Progress and come on, who has never heard that song? To be honest, I never even heard Now is the Time.
